Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of negativa.world, app.negativa.world, and the Negativa services (together, “Negativa” or the “Service”). Negativa is operated by Negativa LLC, a New York limited liability company. By creating an account, purchasing a product, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who May Use Negativa

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. You may use Negativa only in compliance with applicable law.

2. What Negativa Is

Negativa is an AI-assisted educational service for philosophical reflection and self-knowledge. Encounters invite you to examine a tension in your own words. Readings interpret those responses, and a Constellation may show connections across your Encounters. You can also record judgments and revisions. These features are tools for inquiry, not assessments of you as a person.

Negativa does not provide therapy, psychological help, professional counseling, diagnosis, treatment, crisis support, or medical care. It is not a medical device, and using it does not create a clinician-patient or other professional relationship. Readings, indices, and other outputs are interpretive and may be incomplete or mistaken. They are not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Do not rely on them for emergencies or consequential decisions about your health, safety, finances, employment, or legal rights. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency service. In the United States, you may call or text 988 for crisis support.

3. Accounts and Access

Negativa is designed to be anonymous-first. The Service may create an anonymous account and device-held session token before you provide an email address. Adding an email through the sign-in process allows you to recover the associated account and use it across supported devices. If you do not add an email and lose the session token, we may be unable to recover the account or its entries.

You are responsible for the information submitted through your account and for maintaining the security of your device, email account, and sign-in links. Contact support@negativa.world if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the reflections, judgments, revisions, and other content you submit (“Your Content”). You give Negativa a limited license to host, copy, process, and display Your Content as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service; generate the readings and features you request; and comply with law. Our handling of Your Content is also governed by the Privacy Policy. We do not use Your Content to train or fine-tune AI models or for third-party advertising.

You choose what to share. Do not submit medical records, government identification numbers, payment-card details, another person’s confidential information, or content you do not have the right to provide.

5. AI-Generated Readings

Negativa uses automated systems to generate readings, summaries, indices, maps, and themes from what you submit. They describe a possible way to understand your words at a particular time, not an objective finding about your identity, psychological state, character, or future behavior. The Negativity Index is a philosophical interpretation of an Encounter, not a clinical score or a measure of mental health. You decide what is useful and remain responsible for your own decisions.

6. Purchases, Delivery, and Refunds

Paid offerings and prices are displayed on our Pricing section and, when purchasing is available, at checkout. Each account receives its first three Full Negativa Readings without charge. Completing the third Encounter unlocks the Philosophical Constellation. Subsequent Full Negativa Readings cost $3.99 each. We do not currently sell a recurring subscription. If we introduce one later, its price, renewal interval, cancellation process, and other material terms will be disclosed before you authorize recurring charges.

Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider identified at checkout. Full Negativa Readings are personalized digital products generated after completion of an Encounter and delivered online through the customer’s Journey. No physical product is shipped.

If a paid reading cannot be generated or delivered because of a technical problem, contact support@negativa.world within seven days of purchase. We will attempt to regenerate or deliver the reading. If we cannot do so within 48 hours after receiving notice, we will issue a refund to the original payment method. Completed and successfully delivered personalized readings are otherwise non-refundable, except where required by law. We will also review duplicate, unauthorized, or materially incorrect charges.

7. Acceptable Use

Do not use Negativa unlawfully; interfere with its operation or security; scrape or reverse engineer it except where the law permits; attempt unauthorized access; upload malicious code; impersonate another person; or use the Service to harm, harass, or exploit anyone.

8. Negativa's Intellectual Property

Negativa and its software, design, methods, prompts, text, branding, and other materials are owned by Negativa LLC or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer those rights to you. You may use the Service for your personal, noncommercial reflection unless we agree otherwise in writing.

9. Third-Party Services

Negativa relies on third-party providers for services such as hosting, artificial-intelligence processing, email delivery, and payments. Their services may be subject to separate terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

10. Changes, Suspension, and Termination

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features and may restrict or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the Service or others. You may stop using Negativa at any time and may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Negativa LLC disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not guarantee that any reading will be accurate, complete, useful, or suitable for a particular decision. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Negativa LLC and its members, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities, arising from the Service. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Negativa during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer law, disputes must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Kings County, New York. Either party may bring an eligible claim in small-claims court.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service or by email. Continued use after the new effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
